Description
The building envelope consists of a rhythmic grid of exposed concrete elements. Reinforced concrete is the primary structural material, whereas precast concrete members are integrated into the cast-in-situ structure. The rhythmic and repetitive facade details and joinery are influenced by traditional haveli architecture. The facade functions as a shading device, a brise soleil, and reduces heat gain in the interior spaces. The deep projection of the upper floor, provides a large overhang that shades the spaces below and protects the glass facade from direct exposure to the harsh sun.
