The Facade Atlas (TFA) is an open, collaborative platform for studying how architectural facades change over time—and the ideas, materials, cultures, and conditions that shape them.

Each visual can reveal a material choice, a construction method, a response to climate, or an intention that was never realised.

TFA connects images with information about projects, people, places, materials, periods, systems, and sources. This makes it possible to study buildings in context—across geography, history, and technique.

It is for architects, urbanists, planners, students, researchers, and anyone curious about the built environment. The platform supports searching, mapping, comparing, and working with open data.

The Facade Atlas is both an archive and a way of looking more closely—building shared knowledge about facades, buildings, and architecture itself.
