Depth
Moderate depth created by relief carvings, recessed window bays, and stepped setbacks of the central tower.
Rhythm
Alternating vertical bands of solid sandstone piers and recessed window strips.

Description

The Eros Cinema facade features a V-shaped plan that wraps a prominent street corner. Its defining feature is a semi-circular, multi-tiered central tower that steps back as it rises, detailed to resemble a wedding cake. The facade is clad in a combination of red Agra sandstone and cream-coloured plaster. Symmetrical wings flank this central tower. The facade is ornamented with stylized Art Deco reliefs, geometric patterns, vertical strip windows, and porthole details.

Visual analysis

The strong verticality of the central tower offsets the horizontal bands of the wings, creating a dynamic, upward-striving silhouette characteristic of high Art Deco.
